SSC MTS Exam Date 2023: SSC MTS exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for selecting candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments and offices of the Govt of India.
The candidates shortlisted for multi-tasking staff posts are salaried with Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission with basic pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.1,800. SSC is going to conduct SSC Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023 providing job opportunities for 10th pass candidates. SSC MTS 2023 Notification
Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) has released SSC MTS 2023 Notification pdf to recruit 12523 posts of Multi–Tasking (Non–Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN). The SSC MTS examination consists of a Computer Based Examination (Objective test). SSC has changed the exam pattern of the SSC MTS exam this year. Now the CBT exam will be held for 270 marks. With the release of the SSC MTS notification, the exam pattern, syllabus, dates, vacancy, eligibility and other related details has been published. The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2023 is Rs. 100/–
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2023 exam.

SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility Criteria
There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfill in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. Before filling the applications for SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification, and age limit. SSC MTS Citizenship
A candidate is required to be
- A citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal
- Subject of Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee
- Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
SSC MTS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)
The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
i) A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1998 and not later than 01-01-2005.
ii) 18-27 years, the candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005.
Apart from the pre-mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.
Havaldar Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)
A candidate must be of a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005 are eligible to apply for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue.

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2023 Exam.
SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process
The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted on the basis of three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below-

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern
The examination of SSC MTS 2023 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar). Paper-1 is an online exam that is objective multiple choice question type.
SSC MTS 2023 Paper-1 Exam Pattern
The revised SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern has been released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023. There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

SSC MTS Paper-1 Exam Analysis- General Awareness
The questions of the General Awareness section last year were Easy to Moderate. The major area of focus this year was in the field of Static GK, Science, Award and Honors, Current Affairs, Indian Constitution, Sports, Important Dates & Days, Portfolios, History, Culture, Geography, India and its neighbouring countries. Static GK was given a higher weightage in the General Awareness Section of the SSC MTS Tier-1 Exam.
SSC MTS 2023 Salary
The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary lies in the range of 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month with a pay band of (Rs.5200 – 20200) depending of the job post and city allocated.
SSC MTS 2023 Exam Centre
SSC conducts SSC MTS Exam every year at various centres all across the country. Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. If in any case there is an unavailability of seats in the selected Centre, SSC will change the location as per the availability. Candidates do not hold the authority to question SSC for the same.

SSC MTS 2023 Admit Card
Staff Selection Commission firstly releases the SSC MTS Application Status followed by the release of the SSC MTS Admit Card for each stage. The candidates have to download SSC MTS 2023 Admit Card from the official website only as no hardcopy or soft copy would be sent to the candidates.
SSC MTS 2023 Answer Key
Staff Selection Commission will upload SSC MTS Tier 1 Answer Key on the official website around a month later the exam is conducted. SSC MTS Provisional Answer Key is released first followed by the final answer key. No answer key will be released for SSC MTS Tier-2 and Skill test. The candidates have to download SSC MTS Answer Key using their registration number & password from the official website only.

SSC MTS 2023 Cut-Off
SSC MTS Cut-off is the minimum score that aspirants taking the exam will have to obtain in order to move to the next stage of the exam. The cutoff will be released twice, first for Paper 1 (Tier-1) and second for Paper 2(Tier-2). Cutoffs are released along with the result declaration.
